Your place on stage

Who can do it
Every member the director has placed on stage for an event. You need no role. You see the Places only once the director has published them, and only if you are placed in them, for the whole event or for one of its songs. What you see is the published version: changes the director is still preparing stay hidden until they publish again.
Places must also be switched on for your choir.
How to
See where you stand
- Open the event in the Calendar tab. Under Places, Your Neighbors shows your spot, marked You, and the singers within about two spots of you, by name: beside you, in front and behind. It is drawn from where you stand, facing the audience.
- Each singer is a dot in the colour of their voice part. A grey dot has no voice part. An empty ring is a spot whose singer is not coming. The conductor's spot shows Conductor, and a soloist's carries a star.
- If you are placed only for some songs, the section says Offstage: you are not on stage for the rest of the event.
See the whole stage
- Tap the neighbors view, or Audience View. The whole stage opens as the director laid it out, seen from the hall, with Audience below it.
- Switch to Singers' View to see the same stage turned round, as you see it facing the audience: the hall at the top, left and right swapped. Your Neighbors brings back your spot.
Songs where your spot changes
- In the event's Programme, a song carries a marker when you stand differently for it: Different spot, Offstage (you are not on stage for that song) or Solo.
- Tap the marker to see that song's Places, in the same three views. Tapping the song itself still opens it in Music.
When something changes
- When the director publishes and your spot has changed, you get a notification, Your place changed. Opening it shows your neighbors for that event.
- If you tell the choir you are not coming, your spot shows empty to the others, and the Places no longer show for you.
On the web and in the apps
The Places look the same everywhere. In the iPhone and Android apps, once you have opened an event, its Places stay on your phone: you can check them with no connection, at the venue. On the web, they need a connection.
In the app
