When the Equipment manager asks you to bring some of the choir's gear to an event, Tounes tells you what to take, where from and by when, and reminds you before it is too late.
Who can do it
Any member the Equipment manager names to bring an item. You see only your own gear: what you bring, what you hold, and the handovers offered to you. If you bring nothing, you see nothing about the gear, unless your role edits gear lists (see Gear for an event).
The equipment feature must be switched on for your choir.
How to
See what you bring
- Open the event in the Calendar tab. Under You bring, each item has one sentence per step, for example "Pick up Piano 1 at Salle Saint-Denis on Thursday, November 5, before the event there ends at 21:00." or "Get Beach flag from Julie Gagnon before Saturday, November 7 at 18:00."
- While a pickup, a handover or a return is waiting, Your gear on Home shows it too. Tap it to open the event.
- A warning under an item means it is at risk, for example "There is no chance to pick it up before the event." The Equipment manager has been told and will sort it out.
Pick it up
- At the storage place, tap Check out. For a counted line, choose how many you take first: you can take them in more than one go.
- If the item is with another member, they hand it over to you (below).
Hand it over
- Can't make it, or someone else needs it next? Tap Hand over, pick the member, and for a counted line how many.
- It counts once they accept. Until then the gear is still yours.
- When someone hands you gear, it shows on the event and on Home: tap Accept or Decline.
Bring it back
- After the event, the sentence says when and where: "Bring Piano 1 back to Salle Saint-Denis on Tuesday, November 10, before the event there ends at 21:00." Tap Check in, pick the storage place and, for a counted line, how many.
- If the item lives with a member, hand it back to them instead.
- When the next event needing the item comes before the storage place opens again, there is no return step: keep it. The next person bringing it gets it from you by a handover, and you are both reminded.
Reminders
- Before each pickup, handover, bring or return, a reminder arrives, 24 hours ahead unless your choir chose another lead time.
- If you haven't checked out in time, an urgent notification follows: 10 minutes after the event at the storage place ends, or 30 minutes before a storage place with opening hours closes. Returns work the same way.
- If it is still not done, the Equipment manager is told.
On the web and in the apps
Urgent notifications are pushes, so they reach you in the apps. On Android they use the Urgent reminders channel, which shows them on top of the screen. On iPhone they arrive as ordinary notifications for now.
