Keep a practice streak

Who can do it
Every member, for themselves, once they choose to. Streaks are off until you set a goal, and no one else in the choir sees your goal, your streak or your record: not the director, not your section leader.
Your choir needs practice tracking and practice streaks switched on. Without them, the Practice card does not show.
How to
Set a goal
- In Music, the Practice section opens with Set a Practice Goal. Tap Set a goal, or No thanks to hide the card for good.
- Pick Daily or Weekly. Daily: the minutes a day (3 to 60). Weekly: the Days per week (2 to 6) and the Time per day.
- Leave Rehearsals count on if a rehearsal where you are marked present should count as a practice day.
- Tap Save. Your streak shows in Music and on Home.
Keep your streak
- A day counts once the time you spend on all your songs that day reaches your goal, or, with Rehearsals count on, when you are marked present at a rehearsal. Days turn at midnight in your choir's time zone.
- Your streak is the number of days (or weeks) in a row that counted. Today never breaks it: it only breaks once a whole day (or week) ends short of your goal. Best keeps your record.
- A session played offline counts on the day you played it, once it reaches Tounes. A presence your section leader marks later counts too.
- On Home, you can also ask "What's my streak?" or "How many minutes are left today?" in Ask a question. See Ask a question.
When you come back
- After at least 3 minutes of practice with Tounes in the background, coming back opens Your Session: the time you practised and up to four songs, the most practised first. If you leave again before closing it, the next return adds the new practice and keeps the ratings you have not saved yet for the songs it still lists.
- Tap a dot to rate a song from 1 to 5, then Done. Not now keeps your ratings as they were. Done updates them in My practice.
- On a day you reach your goal, start your streak, beat your record or reach a milestone (5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 60 and 100 days; 4, 8, 12, 26 and 52 weeks), Tounes celebrates with confetti and a buzz, once, on whichever of your devices you look at first. The bigger the occasion, the bigger the burst. With reduced motion on, there is no confetti.
- If Tounes is already open when you reach your goal, the confetti plays over the screen you are on, with a short message.
Change or turn off your goal
- Tap the streak card in Music to change your goal. Once streaks are on, each change saves at once.
- A new goal applies from today: a day that already counted stays counted.
- To turn streaks off, open Settings, then Practice, and turn off Streaks and goal. Your practice days are kept; turning them back on asks for your goal again. Surprise Practice and My practice stay available either way.
