Who can do it
Every member, for their own account. Your Profile and your Settings are in the menu at the top of Home.
The people who manage members in your choir can also correct your record there (your voice part or your section, for example). What they change stays in that choir.
How to
Edit your profile
- Open Profile.
- Change your photo (Add photo or Change photo), your first name, last name, display name (shown instead of your full name in rosters and messages) and pronouns.
- Fill in, if you like, your phone, your birthday (day and month, never the year) and an emergency contact. Each field says why it is asked.
- Tap Save. A new photo is saved as soon as you pick it.
Your photo, names and details are the same in every choir you sing in.
Choose what your choir sees
- In Profile, under your phone, your birthday and your emergency contact, turn Share with your choir on or off. Off: only you see it.
- Your phone, when shared: the people who manage members in your choir.
- Your birthday, when shared: the choir's members see the day and month on your profile in the Community, while your choir has the Community on, and so do the directors.
- Your emergency contact, when shared: only the roles your choir trusts with emergencies, and your section leader if the choir allows it.
- These switches are set for each choir: turning one on here changes nothing in your other choirs.
Change your sign-in email
- In Profile, tap Change email and type the new address.
- Tap Send code. A 6-digit code goes to the new address, valid for 15 minutes. Type it and tap Confirm.
- From now on, sign in with the new address. Your old address gets a notice with a link to recover your account, valid for 7 days, in case it wasn't you.
- If your role asks you to Confirm it's you in Manage, do that first (see Confirm it's you).
Language, theme and other settings
- Open Settings. Under Appearance, pick a Language (System, English or Français) and a Theme (System, Light or Dark). Your choice follows your account on every device.
- Menus and buttons are in English or French. What your choir writes (song titles, events, articles) shows in your language when the choir wrote it, otherwise in the choir's main language.
- Under Music, set My voice part and the Default playback track the player picks first, and how scores read. Practice opens your practice goal and streak settings (see Keep a practice streak).
- Where your choir uses chat, Read receipts under Messages lets others see when you've read their messages. Turned off, you don't see when they've read yours either.
- Settings save as soon as you change them: there is no Save button.
Your privacy notices and requests
- Open Settings › Privacy. Each choir you belong to shows its privacy notice and your answers to it. Tap Read the notice to read it again, or the Tounes privacy policy.
- Withdraw my consent: you can no longer use that choir in Tounes until you accept again. Your information stays with the choir.
- Remove my data from this choir: a request to the choir's privacy officer, who answers within 30 days. You can cancel it while it waits.
- Delete my account shows only when your account belongs to no other choir. With one choir left, its privacy officer deletes it; with none, it is deleted at once.
