Who can do it
The Director and the Tenant Admin create surveys and read the results, in Manage › Surveys. Tounes asks them to Confirm it's you before Manage opens (see Confirm it's you).
A Section Leader creates surveys for their own section only, and sees only those. The choir's Section leader powers setting, in Manage › Settings, decides whether they may also edit, delete and read the results of the section's surveys someone else created. A Group Leader can't publish surveys.
Every member answers the surveys aimed at them, once, from Home. Members never see the results.
Surveys only show when your choir has the Surveys feature switched on, in Manage › Settings › Features. Your choir may also have its own roles, under other names, that allow the same.
How to
Create the survey
- In Manage › Surveys, tap the add button. The New survey window opens.
- Type a title, then choose the Audience: Whole choir, a Section or a Group.
- If the survey is about an event, pick it under Linked event (optional).
- Switch on Anonymous if the answers shouldn't be linked to the people who give them. Tap Create.
Add the questions
- Open the survey. Under Questions, tap Edit, then Add question.
- Choose its Type: Yes / No, Single Choice, Multiple Choice, Rating (with its Min and Max) or Open Ended. For a choice question, tap Add choice for each choice.
- Use Move up and Move down to put them in order, then save.
- Finish the questions before the survey opens: a member who has answered can't answer again.
Open it
- Under Details, tap Edit to add a description and set Opens and, if you want an end, Closes.
- Until it has an Opens date, the survey is a draft: nobody sees it.
- At the opening time, the survey appears on Home for its audience, and its active members get a "New survey" notification. Staff members, such as an accompanist, don't get that notification.
Read the results
- Open the survey and tap Load results under Results. Tap Refresh results for the latest answers.
- For each question you see the number of responses, the count for each choice, the yes and no counts, the average rating or the written answers.
- On a survey that isn't anonymous, you also see who gave each answer, grouped by section. Members are told so when they answer. Turn Anonymous off later and only the answers sent after are named; turn it on and the names are hidden.
Delete a survey
- Open the survey, tap the More button (three dots) beside its title, then Delete survey.
- Tounes asks you to confirm: the survey, its questions and its answers are removed for everyone.
- To stop the answers but keep the results, set a Closes date instead.
Answer a survey (every member)
- On Home, under Awaiting your reply, tap Answer on the survey.
- Answer the questions and tap Submit. You answer once, and you can't change your answers afterwards.
- The survey then moves to Answered surveys on Home until it closes.
In the app
The choir's surveys. Ask members a question, then read the answers as they come in.
One survey: its questions, who receives it, when it is open, and the responses.
