Who can do it
The Director, the Treasurer and the Tenant Admin set the target, record sales updates and compare concerts. Your choir may also have its own roles, under other names, that allow this.
Every member sees the thermometer on a concert that has a target. Members never see the sales updates or the comparison.
Ticket sales exist for Concert and Performance events only. The feature must be switched on for your choir: a choir that doesn't sell tickets switches it off in Manage › Settings › Features.
How to
Set the target
- Open the concert, in Manage › Events or in the Calendar tab.
- In its Ticket sales section, tap Ticket sales target and enter the number of tickets you need to sell, for example to break even. Save. To take the target away, tap Remove the target there.
- You can also set it in the event form, under Ticket sales target, when you edit the concert's basics. Empty the field to take the target away.
Without a target, members see no thermometer.
Record a sales update
- In the Ticket sales section, tap Add sales update.
- Enter Tickets sold to date: the total so far, not what sold since the last update. The Date is now; change it to record a count from earlier.
- Save. The thermometer shows the latest update's total.
A refund can bring the total down. When the total is lower than the update before it, Tounes shows the previous total and asks you to confirm.
Correct an update
Tap an update in the list (newest first), fix the total or the date, and save. Updates are corrected, never deleted.
What members see
On the concert, members see Tickets sold, the Target and the percentage. Above the target, the bar stays full and shows the real percentage, for example 130%.
Compare with other concerts
- In the Ticket sales section, tap Compare with other concerts.
- The chart shows this concert's sales against Days before the concert, with each target as a dashed line.
- Switch on up to three other concerts or performances that have sales updates. Each gets its own dashed line and a line in the legend. Concerts line up on days before the show, so a December concert compares with a spring one.
After the concert
Updates and the target stay editable until 14 days after the concert starts, for door sales and the final count. After that, the section says Ticket sales are closed for this concert. and everything stays as it was, still shown in the comparison.
