Sign in and reset your password

Who can do it
Anyone with a Tounes account. You get your account from your choir's invitation: see Accept your invitation. You can't sign up on your own.
You sign in with your email and password, the same on the web and in the apps. Tounes has no sign-in by emailed link or code. The codes you may see elsewhere only reset a password or confirm admin access (see Confirm it's you).
How to
Sign in
- Open the Tounes app, or app.tounes.ca in your browser.
- Type your Email and Password, then tap Sign In.
- You stay signed in on that device. If you don't open Tounes for about two weeks, it asks you to sign in again.
- To sign out, open the menu at the top of Home and tap Log out. If score markings you made offline haven't been sent yet, Tounes warns you first: signing out would lose them.
Forgot your password
- On the sign-in page, tap Forgot Password?.
- Type your email and tap Send code. If that email has an account, a code is on its way.
- Type the code and tap Verify.
- Choose a new password (at least 8 characters) and tap Update password. Tounes signs you in with it.
- No code? Check the address you typed and start again. Invited but never finished activating? Use the link in your invitation email instead.
Change your password
- There is no password setting inside the app. Sign out, then use Forgot Password? on the sign-in page to choose a new one.
- The people who manage members (your director, for example) can also send you a reset email from your member page in Manage, unless you also sing in another choir on Tounes.
If sign-in fails
- "That email and password don't match": check both, or reset your password.
- "Too many attempts with this email": wait a few minutes, then try again or reset your password.
- "We couldn't sign you in right now": check your internet connection and try again.
- Your choir isn't on Tounes yet? The sign-in page has a link to tounes.ca.
On the web and in the apps
In the iPhone and Android apps, after you sign in with your password, Tounes offers Use Face ID next time? (or Touch ID, or fingerprint). Tap Turn on: next time, tap Sign in with Face ID. Your password stays on that phone, protected by your face or finger. Turn it on or off later in Settings › Sign-in. After you change your password, sign in once with the new one to use it again.
On the web, you always type your password. Your browser may offer to remember it.
