Your first minute

Right after you activate your account (see Accept your invitation), Tounes opens Welcome to your choir: a few quick steps so the choir knows who you are and you don't miss anything. It takes about a minute, and nothing in it is required.
Who can do it
Every new member, for themselves. Your phone, birthday and emergency contact stay private until you choose to share them, and your director never sees how far you got.
The steps open once per choir. If you join a second choir with the same account, a shorter version opens: your photo and name carry over, and only what is set for each choir is asked.
How to
The welcome steps
- Tap Let's go, or Skip for now to leave. Leaving keeps what you already entered.
- How the choir sees you: your photo and your name, with pronouns if you like. They are the same in every choir you join.
- In case we need you: your phone, your birthday (day and month, never the year) and an emergency contact. Each field says why it is asked. Not now: remind me later skips it.
- What do you sing?: your voice part in this choir. It may already be filled in by your director. This step doesn't show if your choir has no voice parts.
- What your choir sees: what every member sees of you, then three switches for your birthday, your phone and your emergency contact. They are all off until you turn them on, and each one says who would see it.
- Ride sharing, if your choir uses it: whether you have a car, the seats for riders and your usual departure address. It fills in your ride offers and requests for you; others only see how far away you are.
- Tap Next after each step and Done at the end. There is no final Save: each step is kept as you go. Skip moves on to the next step.
The "Finish setting up" card
- Later, Home may show Finish setting up, with the number of things left: your profile photo, your birthday and emergency contact, your voice part, ride sharing.
- Tap a line to do just that step.
- Tap Dismiss to hide the card for good. You can still fill everything in anytime from Profile or Settings, in the menu at the top of Home.
On the web and in the apps
In the iPhone and Android apps, the steps end with Stay in the loop: turn on notifications on that phone and choose which ones you want. The web has no notifications outside the app, so the step doesn't show there. See Notifications.
