Group Leader

The Group Leader role is for the person who leads one group of members: a committee, a small ensemble, a club. Each group has its own: it lets you look after that group in Manage › Groups, send it announcements and tasks, and moderate its channel in Messages. It reaches only your group, never the rest of the choir.

Who can do it

Whoever creates a group in Manage › Groups leads it. A Director, a Tenant Admin or another leader of the group can also open the group there, find the member and tap Make leader, or Remove as leader. A group can have several leaders, and it always keeps one: its last leader can't be removed or leave, except by a Director or a Tenant Admin.

Group Leader doesn't see members' personal information, so Tounes doesn't ask you to Confirm it's you. You usually hold it together with Member, and you are a member of the group too.

How to

Look after your group

1. Open Manage › Groups. It lists the groups you lead.
2. To change the name, description, type or Discoverable, tap Edit under Details.
3. Under Members, tap Add members, or Remove from group beside someone. Tap the star beside someone to Make leader, or again to Remove as leader. Making someone leader gives them the group's Group Leader role; everyone in the group holds its Group Member role.
4. To delete the group, choose Delete group in its menu. Its members lose what the group gave them.

Send your group news and tasks

1. Open Manage, then Announcements or Todos. Todos are there when tasks are switched on for your choir.
2. Create the announcement or the task and aim it at your group. See Send announcements and Tasks and volunteers.
3. What you may change or delete afterwards follows your choir's Section leader powers in Manage › Settings, as for section leaders.

Moderate your group's channel

1. Open Messages and your group's channel. As its leader, you can remove other people's messages, make the channel read-only or archive it. See Chat.

Know who joins

1. If members can find and join your group in the Community, Tounes tells you when someone joins or leaves it. See Community and who's who.

What it can't do

1. Publish events, surveys or articles for your group. Ask a Director: see Groups.
2. Create a new group. A Director or a Tenant Admin does it.
3. Act on another group.
