The Librarian role is for the person who looks after the choir's music and papers. It opens Manage › Songs and Manage › Document Library: you add, change and remove songs, their practice tracks and scores, and the choir's folders and documents. It doesn't touch the playlists, the events or the members.
Who can do it
A Tenant Admin gives the role, in Manage › Roles: open Librarian, then Add members. If your choir has a Librarian position, the Tenant Admin can link it to the role so it follows the term: the role starts and ends with the position.
You usually hold Librarian together with Member, which lets you see the calendar and the rest of the choir like everyone else. Librarian is a built-in role: its permissions are set by the app. Your choir may also have made its own roles, under other names.
Librarian doesn't see members' personal information, so Tounes doesn't ask you to Confirm it's you when you open Manage.
How to
Look after the songs
- Open Manage › Songs.
- Add a song, or open one to change its details, its practice tracks and its scores, or to remove it. See Manage songs and playlists.
- Choose who receives each file, for instance one voice part's track.
Mark up a score for the whole choir
- Open a score and draw on the choir's layer: every member sees those markings over their own. See Mark up your score. It needs score markings to be switched on for your choir.
Keep the document library
- Open Manage › Document Library. It is there when the document library is switched on for your choir, in Manage › Settings.
- Make folders and add, change or remove documents: see Document library.
What it can't do
- Build or change the choir's playlists, or plan events. The Director does it.
- Add or change members, or open the dues or the settings.
- Give roles. Ask a Tenant Admin.
