Tenant Admin

On this page
The Tenant Admin role is for the person who runs the choir's Tounes account, often the president or the director. It gives full access to everything in the choir: every area of Manage, the roles, the dues, the members' status history and emergency contacts. It is the only role that can decide who holds which role.
Who can do it
Another Tenant Admin gives the role, in Manage › Roles: open Tenant Admin, then Add members. When your choir starts on Tounes, the person who set it up holds it, usually together with Director. A choir can have several Tenant Admins, and it is wise to have two.
Tounes always keeps one: the last Tenant Admin can't lose the role, become Alumni or Archived, or end the position term that gives it.
Tenant Admin is a built-in role: its permissions are set by the app and it can't be deleted. Built-in roles keep their name and permissions in the app, and read in the app's language. Your choir may also have made its own roles, under other names.
How to
Open Manage
- Open Manage. Your role can see members' personal information, so Tounes asks you to Confirm it's you first, with your passkey or a code sent by email: see Confirm it's you.
- Manage stays open while you use it. After 30 minutes without using it, Tounes asks again.
Give and take back roles
- In Manage › Roles, open a role and tap Add members to give it to one or more people.
- To take it back, tap Revoke role beside the person. A role that comes from a position says "via a position": end the term in Manage › Positions instead.
- To make a role of your own, tap New role in Manage › Roles and tick its permissions. See Roles and positions.
Run the choir
- Everything the Director does is open to you too: members, music, events, sections, groups, settings. See Director.
- Switch features on or off for the choir in Manage › Settings: see Manage and choir settings.
- Keep the dues, as the Treasurer does: see Run a dues season.
- Read a member's History of status changes on their page in Manage › Choristers and Staff: see Member statuses.
Help someone who lost their phone
- Open the person's page in Manage › Choristers and Staff and tap Remove passkeys. Next time, they confirm it's them with a code by email. You can't do this for yourself: ask another Tenant Admin. See Help a member who can't sign in.
What it can't do
- Use a feature your choir has switched off or that its plan doesn't include: see When a feature is missing.
- Act in another choir. The role belongs to this choir only: you may be a plain member elsewhere.
