The Group Member role comes with being in a group: a committee, a small ensemble, a club. Each group has its own. It lets you see the group and its members, and you receive what is sent to the group. It doesn't let you change the group or send to it: that is for its Group Leader.
Who can do it
You get the role when you join a group, and lose it when you leave. There are three ways in:
- A Director or a Tenant Admin adds you to the group, in Manage › Groups.
- You join it yourself in the Community, when the group is open to everyone.
- You take a position linked to the group, in Manage › Positions: you are in the group for as long as the term lasts.
You can be in several groups. Group Member doesn't see members' personal information, so Tounes never asks you to Confirm it's you.
How to
Join a group
- Open Community, then a group under Groups. Only the groups members can join appear there.
- Tap Join. The group's leaders are told.
- Only active members can join. While you are new or on leave, there is no Join: see Member statuses.
What you receive
- Announcements, tasks and events aimed at the group, beside the choir's: see Your home page and Tasks and volunteers.
- The group's own channel in Messages, when chat is on for your choir: see Chat.
- For a group open to everyone, its page in the Community, with who is in it: see Community and who's who.
Leave a group
- Open the group in Community and tap Leave. The group's leaders are told.
- If you are in the group through a position, there is no Leave: you leave when the term ends.
- For a group that doesn't appear in the Community, ask a Director.
- A group's last leader can't leave: ask a Director to name another leader first. See Groups.
