Sing in several choirs

Who can do it
Anyone who sings in more than one choir on Tounes. You keep one account, with one email and one password, and you are a member of each choir separately.
Each choir decides your roles there. You can run one choir as its Tenant Admin and simply sing in another as a Member.
How to
Join another choir
- Ask the new choir to invite you with the email you already use for Tounes.
- Open the invitation, sign in and accept it: see Accept your invitation. Nothing is shared with the new choir until you accept.
- A short welcome opens for the new choir: your voice part there and what that choir sees of you (see Your first minute).
Switch choirs
- Open the menu at the top of Home. When you belong to more than one choir, a row shows the choir you are in.
- Tap it to open Switch choir. Search if you have many, then pick the other choir. It lists the choirs you can open: not one where you are now Alumni or Archived.
- The whole app changes to that choir: its Home, calendar, music, community and, if your roles there allow it, its Manage tab.
What follows you, and what each choir keeps
- The same in every choir: your photo, your name and pronouns, your sign-in email and password, your phone, birthday and emergency contact, your ride sharing details, the app's language and theme, and chat read receipts.
- Set in each choir: your roles, your voice part and section, your status, which of your details that choir may see (the Share with switches in Profile), and which notifications you get from it (Settings › From this choir). Switch to the choir first, then change them.
- Turning on a share switch in one choir changes nothing in the others.
Notifications from all your choirs
- You get the notifications of all your choirs, whichever one is open: on your phone, and together under the bell.
- Under the bell, each notification names its choir under its title.
- Tap one from another choir: Tounes switches you to that choir, then opens what it is about. A banner tapped on your phone does the same. If the switch fails, a message says so and nothing opens.
- A notification from a choir you can no longer open stays in the list, but doesn't open.
- To change what a choir sends you, switch to it, then open Settings (see Notifications).
Leaving one choir
- You can't leave a choir yourself. Ask that choir's director or admin to mark you as Alumni. You then lose access to that choir only, and it leaves your choir switcher: your account and your other choirs stay as they are. See What Tounes doesn't do yet.
