What Tounes doesn't do yet

Some requests come up often but have no button in Tounes today. Here is what to answer, and what to do instead.

Who can do it

The answers are for anyone: members, choir boards and anyone helping them. Several of them need a person who manages members, usually the Director or the Tenant Admin. Your choir may also have its own roles under other names that can do the same.

How to

Leave a choir

  1. A member can't leave a choir on their own. Only an invitation not yet accepted can be declined.
  2. Ask your director or admin to change your Status in Manage › Choristers and Staff: Alumni if you leave on good terms, or Archived.
  3. You then lose access to that choir only. Your account and your other choirs stay as they are.

Delete your account or download your data

  1. Tounes has no button to delete your account or to download your data.
  2. Write to the Tounes team: Report a problem in Settings, or info@tounes.io.
  3. To stop sharing your phone, birthday or emergency contact with a choir right away, turn off Share with in your Profile (see Profile, privacy and language).

Create a choir

  1. You can't create a choir yourself in Tounes. The Tounes team sets each new choir up.
  2. Write to info@tounes.io with the email of the person who will run it: the team invites them as the choir's Tenant Admin. Once it exists, see Get a new choir ready.

Send a private message to one person

  1. Chat has no one-to-one messages. Each channel is for the whole choir, a section, a group or an event (see Chat).
  2. To reach one person, use the contact details they chose to share, or ask your director.

Get notifications by email or in the browser

  1. Tounes sends no notification by email, and none outside the page on the web.
  2. Notifications show under the bell in the app and, in the iPhone and Android apps, as banners on your phone (see Notifications). The only emails Tounes sends are about your account: invitations, sign-in codes and email changes.

Pay dues online

  1. Tounes doesn't take payments. Pay your choir the way it asks you to (e-transfer, cash, cheque…).
  2. Your treasurer then records the payment by hand, and you see it in My dues (see Run a dues season).
